In 2014, Bioseh Ogbechie partnered with his father, Psychiatrist Dr. Lawrence Ogbechie, MD, to establish Serenity Care Health Group (SCHG), a nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Center. SCHG is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate health care to individuals and families in need, regardless of their circumstances.
We are honored to serve a uniquely diverse patient population, including a large Cambodian community with deep roots in our area, as well as a growing number of Hispanic individuals and families. We proudly welcome people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds to receive the care they deserve. It is our greatest privilege to support those who contribute so much to our local businesses, neighborhoods, and community life as we continue our mission to improve the health and well-being of everyone we serve.
Driven by the need for accessible healthcare for our community, we are proud to acknowledge that our motivation derives from helping those in need. We provide care to all who are underserved, in particular the Cambodian community living in Long Beach, which is the largest population of Cambodians outside of Cambodia itself.
For the better part of Serenity Care Health Group's operation, the Cambodian community has become like family to our clinic personnel. We have been privileged to serve this community for over 30 years, and it is our goal to continue doing so by constantly improving our operations and resources.
In recent years, we have also seen significant growth within our Hispanic patient population, and we are equally honored to welcome these individuals and families into our care. We remain committed to providing culturally sensitive and high-quality health services to meet the needs of our expanding and diverse community.
We are grateful that these communities have entrusted us with their care, and we look forward to continuing to support the health and well-being of all those we serve for many years to come.
